Empowering Uvalde's Future:
Nurturing Opportunity and Compassion
Our History
Following the tragic mass school shooting at Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022, Abelardo Castillo united a core group of community members to seek accountability and address Uvalde's social and economic needs. ECAF was founded on the belief that leveraging community resources and providing foundational support can make a difference. Through partnerships with government entities, civic organizations, and dedicated community members, we strive to create a brighter and safer future for all citizens of Uvalde, Texas.
Our mission is to empower the young people of Uvalde, especially those most lacking in opportunities and resources, to attain their fullest potential as productive, healthy, and compassionate members of the community.
